Gunmen attack home of RMAFC chair nominee

Gunmen suspected to be political thugs at the weekend attacked the country home of Engr. Elias Mbam, the chairmanship nominee of Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), his media assistant, Tony Okafor has said.

Okafor, in a statement, yesterday, said Mbam’s home at Nwofe-Agbaja, Izzi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State was attacked on January 18 by over 20 hoodlums.

The statement said the “the attack lasted over 30 minutes from the gate of the compound and left more than 100 bullets on the ground, some of which pierced the main gate of the compound, shattered some windows upstairs and plumbing pipes. Mbam, an APC stalwart, was however not present in the compound during the attack.

He added that the matter had already been reported to the police who promised to take decisive actions to bring the suspects to book.
