The Ayu Traditional Council Secretary, Jibril Adamu Muhammed, who confirmed the incident to our reporter, said from all indications, the attackers were after the traditional ruler because they went straight to his room and started shooting.
“They fired many gunshots on his door but God protected him. Having found it difficult to reach the chief they took away his youngest son, Sahabi.”
He said the kidnappers called to negotiate for his release but it was the victim’s mother who answered and they said they could not negotiate with her but with the father.
