Gunmen, in the early hours of Sunday, abducted four people in Yimi community, on the outskirts of Zuba town, in the FCT.

Sources said the attackers, seven in number, had sneaked into the community where a wedding ceremony party was ongoing around 11 pm.

One of the sources told our reporter that the gunmen, most of them dressed in suits, at about 12 midnight, went into a compound and abducted a woman simply known in the community as Aunty Nurse.

“She is married to the son of the community’ district head, Abubakar Muhammad Dakoyi, and she is the head of the community’s government clinic,’’ the source added.

A vigilante source in the area also said the woman had offered about N10,000 she had to the attackers and was also ready to transfer more money to them.

“She even took them to a nearby provision shop where she was charging her phone to make the transaction.

“On getting there, however, the gunmen seized the phone and went ahead to abduct the kiosk owner, one Ibrahim. They left with two of them as well as two children of the woman namely Muhammed and Aisha,’’ the source explained.

It was gathered that the woman’s son was able to escape from the kidnappers as they were being led into Shenagu bush in the community.
