Gunmen suspected to be Boko Haram insurgents have kidnapped three girls in Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State.
Residents told Daily Trust that the young girls and a married woman were working on their guinea corn farm last week on the outskirt of Dar village in Madagali when a group of armed men rounded them up and forcefully took them away.
The insurgents later released the married woman on the ground that she was too old, said a resident, who declined to be named for security reason.
“Our girls are still there since their abduction last week.
“We call on government and the military to do whatever is possible to rescue them and take the fight to these people,” he said.
Another resident, Iskarju Ezekiel appealed to the military authorities for a sustained onslaught against Boko Haram fighters in Madagali and neighbouring Borno communities
Military authorities at the 23 Armoured Brigade in Yola could not be reached for comment as at the time of filing this report.
