Gunmen have abducted one of the wives of the Village Head of Bukpe in Kwali Area Council of the FCT, Mrs Sadiya Hassan Shamdozhi, two of his sons, Hamisu and Osama, and five other residents.
City & Crime recalls that bandits on March 30, 2022, invaded the chief’s house and whisked him and two of his subjects away and were held captive for 17 days until after a ransom of N4m and foodstuff, as well as drugs, were given to their abductors.
The chief, His Royal Highness (HRH), Alhaji Hassan Shamdozhi, who confirmed the latest abduction through telephone to our reporter on Sunday, said, “After they left with my junior wife and two children, they proceeded to two of my neighbours’ houses and whisked away five other people.”
He said contact was established with the bandits and that their leader demanded N35m and foodstuff before the victims would be set free.
The spokesperson of the FCT Police Command, DSP Adeh Josephine, was yet to respond at the time of filing this report.
