Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted two children of a Pastor of the Christ Apostolic Church, Rev. Komolafe Amos, in Anguwar Wadata in Abaji Metropolis of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The children are Yemi (girl) and Samuel (boy).

Our reporter learnt that a couple, Mr. and Mrs. Haruna, who are the pastor’s neighbours, were also abducted.

Pastor Amos who spoke with our reporter at his residence yesterday in Abaji, said the incident happened around 12:00am.

He said he was asleep when the gunmen invaded his home, and explained that their footsteps woke him and that he peeped throgh the window, saw heavily armed men approaching his front door.

He said, “One of them barked orders that I should   open the door and I asked them why. Before I knew what was happening, they forced the door open.”

Pastor Amos further said after the gunmen held his children, they proceeded to his neighbour’s apartment and abducted a couple.

He said he had established contact with the abductors and that they were demanding N10m ransom.

He explained that the abductors “called through my daughter’s phone and they are demanding N10m and I told them I have N100,000; they switched off the phone.”

Our reporter learnt that the FCT Police Commissioner, Bala Ciroma, led by the Abaji Divisional Police Officer (DPO) CSP Umar Musa, on Friday, visited the houses attacked by the gunmen.

The spokesman of the FCT Police Command, DSP Anjuguri Manzah, did not pick calls or reply to an SMS.
