Gunmen have killed a man and abducted three travellers, including his wife, on the Emure-Ekiti road in Emure LGA of Ekiti State.
A source said that the abductors were later captured near Oyimo River along Emure Supare Road in Emure.
The source said, “Oluwole and his wife were returning to Akure after attending a family event in Emure when their vehicle was ambushed.
“Oluwole was hit by a bullet and his wife, along with two other persons in the car, were kidnapped.”

The Chairman of Emure LGA, Tosin Adedayo, who confirmed the incident, said, “I am aware and we are actively involved in the rescue mission to free our people. Soldiers, policemen and others who went after the kidnappers have not returned since then.”
The police spokesman in the state, Sunday Abutu, did not respond to a call made to him on the incident.
