Gunmen have shot dead two commercial motorcyclists in Akoko North West LGA of Ondo State.
City & Crime gathered that Dada Jatto (28), one of the cyclists, who was earlier declared missing by his parents, was found dead on Wednesday with his body mutilated on a bush path in the Okeagbe axis of Akoko.
The second victim was said to be a Northerner who was allegedly lured to a hideout between Ikare and Arigidim had his head smashed and his bike stolen.
Vigilantes who confirmed the gruesome killing of the two cyclists, decried the level of insecurity between the border towns of Akunnu Akoko in Ondo and Kogi states.
Confirming the killing of the two cyclists, spokeswoman of the Ondo State Police Command, Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, said investigation had commenced.
