The police in Niger State have confirmed the killing of three people by gunmen in Ebbo and Ndagbegi villages of Lavun Local Government Area.
The state’s commissioner of police, Mr Monday Kuryas, confirmed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday.
Mr Kuryas said the incidents occurred on Sunday at about, and that a detachment of the police and the military has been deployed to the areas with a view to tracking down the criminals.
He said, “We appeal to residents to assist security personnel deployed with reliable information that could aid in apprehending the miscreants.
