Gunmen kill businessman in Katsina, kidnap daughter
Unknown gunmen on Tuesday attacked the town of Gachi, in Kankia Local government killing a business man Nasiru Maimasara before whisking away his 15 year old daughter, Aisha.
Daily Trust gathered that the assailants who came at about midnight on motorbikes broke down the victim’s main garage door before shooting him.
Eye witnesses say, the victim was seen at about 10pm that fateful night around the town’s main market before his death.
Up till now, no contact has been made to the family concerning the kidnapped girl, the source said.
The spokesman of the state police command SP Gambo Isa while confirming the incidence said the command has since deployed it’s Special Anti Robbery Squad ( SARS) and State Investigation Bureau (SIB) to track down and rescue the victim.
