Gunmen have killed the Chief Security Officer of Adokiye Amieseimaka International Stadium, Omegwa in Ikwerre LGA in Rivers State, Timothy and his son.
The police spokesman in Rivers State, Grace Iringe-Koko, who confirmed the incident in a statement on Tuesday, said it occurred on January 31, 2025, at about 2340hrs at Omegwa.
SP Grace Iringe-Koko said the 59-year-old Chief Security Officer (CSO) of Adokiye Amieseimeka International Stadium, Omegwa, Port Harcourt and his first son were brutally murdered by unknown gunmen.
Iringe-Koko said the Igwurita Division of the State Police Command received a report from Omolara, the daughter of the deceased that four gunmen ambushed her father and son and shot them severally in the head, resulting in their death.

She said the Commissioner of Police, Rivers State, has directed the deployment of all necessary intelligence to apprehend the fleeing suspects and bring them to justice.
