Unidentified gunmen have killed Malam Abdullahi Aboki, the secretary to Lau Chiefdom in Taraba state.
Daily Trust gathered that the gunmen, about ten in number forced their way into the house of the 62-year-old scribe in Lau Kunini town the headquarters of Lau Chiefdom at about 1am on Friday and rain several shots on him leading to his instant death.

It was further gathered that the gunmen on entering into the victim house ordered him to open doors to the house but he refused and rather raised an alarm but nobody came to his rescue before the gunmen eventually gained entry into the house.
The victim’s wife identified as Adama and his three-month-old child, Abubakar were also shot by the gunmen.
Both Adama and her child are currently on admission at the Federal Medical Center Jalingo.
“Abubakar the three months child was shot on the leg and the leg amputated” a source said.
A younger brother of the victim, Aminu Kunini revealed that they suspected hired killers as responsible for the killing of his brother because according to him nothing was removed from the house of the victim.
He said they were not told by the police if arrest was made yet.
The spoke man of Taraba police command DSP David Misal confirmed the incident
