Gunmen on Monday attacked Reke village in Asa Local Government Area of Kwara State, killing the son of the community leader, Alhaji Abdullahi Jimoh.
It was gathered that the gunmen invaded the community at about 2 am, went straight to the community leader’s house and opened fire on his eldest son, Abiodun.

The spokesperson, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Kwara Command, Babawale Afolabi, confirmed the incident.
The attack is coming few days after a farmer, Muritala Adebayo, was kidnapped in Pampo village, in the same local government.
His abductors have demanded N100 million ransom before he could be released according to family sources.
The spokesperson for the state police command, Ajayi Okasanmi, said that the Police and other security agencies were combing Asa forest and other adjourning forests in the state to rescue Adebayo.
