A gang of bandits has threatened to abduct a woman, two months after they kidnapped her husband and their two daughters from their home in Zihibi community Tafa LGA of Niger State near Dei-Dei town in the FCT.
Abuja Metro reported how the bandits broke into the woman’s home on October 3, this year, and abducted the 3 family members.
A brother to the woman, who spoke with our reporter yesterday, said the bandits were now threatening to abduct the woman too, accusing her of refusing to sell off the family house in order to raise the demanded ransom.
He explained that N20m had been raised by the family, but that the bandits were insisting to be paid N100m. who is a business man, and two of his daughters, one of them a 200-level university student.
He said, “My in-law is a businessman, and one of the abducted daughters is in 200-level in the university. I have since taken away my sister from her matrimonial home as they are threatening to abduct her too.”
He added that based on the information they gathered, it appeared that the abductors were based in Kweri Forest located around Kafanchan area in Jema’a LGA of Kaduna State.
The FCT Police Command’s spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, said neither the area where the family members were abducted nor the location that they were said to be taken to was part of the territory under the FCT command.
Our reporter contacted the police spokespersons of Niger and Kaduna states, SP Wasiu Abiodun and ASP Mansur Hassan respectively, but none of them responded.
