Police fired shots and tears to disperse the crowd of youths who massed on Yakubu Gowon road in Jos.

A video emerged showing protesters scampering, while the sound of gunshots sounded in the distance out of the camera view.

The protesters could be heard shouting, “they are shooting at us”.
One protester was seen holding the shell of a spent bullet.
The protesters blocked both lanes of Yakubu Gowon Road, preventing traffic moveing either way.
