The Governing Council of the Federal University Gusau, Zamfara State, has approved the appointment of Hajiya Nafisa Barau Suleiman, as its 3rd substantive registrar.
The appointment was approved at the 29th meeting of the council which was held April 22 to 25, 2025, in Abuja.
Hajiya Nafisa Barau Suleiman holds an MA in English Language from the Usmanu Danfodiyo University (UDUS), Sokoto. She is the first female registrar of the 12-year-old institution.
Prior to the appointment, she had acted as registrar, following the completion of the tenure of the former registrar, Malam Yakubu Anivbassa, on February 4, 2025.

She was also the Deputy Registrar in the office of the Vice Chancellor and served as the Faculty Officer, at the Faculty of Humanities and Education.
The university management wished the new appointee Allah’s support and guidance in the discharge of the responsibilities attached to the office.
