The councillor representing Gwagwa ward in Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Bello Shuaibu, has said residents are praying for the safe return of children missing in the community.

Shuaibu said since four children got missing in the community, residents had been vigilant, adding that he had also sensitised them on the need to report people with suspicions activities to security agents.

“Four children have been missing for some time now. Since then people are afraid and don’t allow their children to go afar anymore,” he said explaining that the Divisional Police Officer in the community was aware of the happenings.

“We are praying for peace; there is nothing we can do more than pray,” he said explaining that clerics from Islam and Christianity have been called upon to pray for the community.

More than seven children had been reported missing in the community in the past four months.
