The newly elected chairman of the Gwagwalada Area Council, Comrade Kasim Mohammed Ikwa, has charged the indigenous Koro ethnic group to embrace unity and inclusive leadership.

Ikwa, who is himself a member of the Koro tribe, made the call while receiving the leadership of the National Association of All Koro Communities in Nigeria.

The delegation, led by National President Alhaji Mohammed Kasim, paid a congratulatory visit to the chairman-elect at his residence in Gwagwalada on Saturday.

He noted that Koro communities in other states currently occupy more prominent positions compared to those in the FCT, where opportunities have remained limited. Consequently, he emphasized that his victory at the polls was not a personal achievement but a collective milestone for the entire Koro community.

Speaking on behalf of the association, the National President and District Head of Zuba, Alhaji Muhammad Kasim, said he led the executives to congratulate Ikwa on his victory in last Saturday’s election.

He advised the chairman-elect to embrace all constituents—supporters and non-supporters alike—and urged him to ensure the effective delivery of the mandate given to him by the electorate of the Gwagwalada Area Council.
