Hajj 2018: 2,555 Kaduna pilgrims so far airlifted to Saudi Arabia

 The Kaduna State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board on Wednesday said a total of 2,555 pilgrims from the state have been airlifted to Saudi Arabia for the 2018 Hajj.

A press statement issued by the board’s Public Relations Officer, Yunusa Muhammad  Abdullahi in Kaduna, said that only two flights remain to complete the airlift of intending pilgrims from the state.

He said so far, 1,683 males and 872 females were transported to holy land by the two airlines engaged by the board for airlift of the state’s pilgrims.

Abdullahi explained that Med-View Airline had transported 928 intending pilgrims while Max Air had transported 1,627 pilgrims in three flights each

He assured the remaining pilgrims will be airlifted in few days.
 
Meanwhile Med view airline had delivered 1,600 5 litres of zamzam water to the state which would be distributed to the pilgrims after their return journey from Saudi Arabia.

About 3,200 intending pilgrims are expected to perform the pilgrimage from the state this year
