Hajj: 3,755 Zamfara pilgrims return from Saudi Arabia – Official

Alhaji Isa Abdulmumin, Chairman of Zamfara 2015 Hajj Sub-Committee on Passport and Manifest, said 3,755 out of the 4006 pilgrims who performed this year’s Hajj from Zamfara had returned home safely.

Abdulmumin disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Gusau on Thursday.

Abdulmumin, who is the leader of the State House of Assembly, said the last batch of the pilgrims was expected to arrive Nigeria in the next few days.

NAN reports that the pilgrims were transported by Max Airline between Sept.28 and Oct.6, 2015.

The chairman said that Zamfara lost one female pilgrim during the stampede in Saudi Arabia.

He condoled with the families of those who lost their loved ones in the incident, adding that such loses had created vacuum that would be difficult to fill. (NAN)
