Hajj: Kaduna airlifts 1,158 pilgrims to Saudi Arabia

The Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency says it has successfully airlifted 1,158 pilgrims from Kaduna to Medina, Saudi Arabia, in three consecutive flights for the 2026 Hajj exercise.
According to a statement signed by the agency’s Public Relations Officer, Ibrahim Datti Makarfi, the first batch of pilgrims departed on May 14, 2026, with 426 pilgrims onboard.
The second flight departed on May 15, conveying 389 pilgrims, while the third flight took off on May 16 with 343 pilgrims.
The agency confirmed that all three flights landed safely in Medina.

It added that pilgrims scheduled for the fourth flight were already at the Hassan Usman Katsina International Airport awaiting departure on Sunday afternoon.
The statement further disclosed that intending pilgrims for the fifth flight had commenced reporting at the Transit Camp in Mando, Kaduna, from 10:00 a.m. on May 17, 2026.
According to the agency, Flynas Airline is handling the transportation of Kaduna pilgrims for this year’s Hajj operations.
The agency also commended pilgrims and stakeholders for their cooperation and patience, assuring that efforts were ongoing to ensure the smooth and successful airlift of all intending pilgrims from the state.
