Kebbi State has suffered another loss during the 2024 Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia, with the death of Hajiya Maryamu Suleman Mayalo from Maiyama Local Government Area.
She passed away on Sunday at King Abdulazeez Hospital in Mecca after battling a prolonged illness.
This brings the total number of pilgrims from Kebbi State who have passed away during this year’s Hajj to five.
Faruk Musa Inabo, the executive chairman of the state’s Pilgrims Welfare Agency, confirmed the sad news in a statement.

Governor Nasir Idris expressed his condolences over the loss of the pilgrim and prayed for Allah SWT to grant her Aljanna Firdausi (the highest paradise) and give her family the strength to bear this irreparable loss.
