The management of Max Air has said that it has so far airlifted over 11, 000 intending pilgrims to Saudi Arabia for 2018 Hajj exercise since the commencement of the airlift on July 21.

The Public Relations Manager of the company, Alhaji Ibrahim Dahiru said the pilgrims were transported to the Holy land from Kano, Katsina, Kaduna, Niger, Nasarawa, Adamawa, Lagos and Kwara states in 20 flights.

He assured that the company would soon commence airlift of intending pilgrims from Bauchi, Zamfara, Gombe, Yobe, Borno, Taraba, Plateau and Benue states.

He assured all intending pilgrims would be transported to the Holy Land before closure of the King Abdul’aziz International Airport, Jeddah.

Dahiru urged the state pilgrims welfare boards to continue to support the airline to ensure a hitch-free exercise.

Max Air had signed an agreement with the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) for the airlift of 26,000 Nigerian Pilgrims to Saudi Arabia for the annual pilgrimage.
