Lagos Seasiders picked up their first win of the season with a gritty 26–22 victory over Osun United on Day 7 of the Ardova Handball Premier League 2025 Phase 1, held at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City, Edo State.

The Seasiders led 11–9 at halftime and held their nerve in the closing stages to fend off a strong second-half fightback from debutants Osun United in one of the most tightly contested matches of the day.

In other men’s fixtures, former champions Safety Shooters delivered a dominant performance to crush Adamawa Warriors 40–31, after taking a 20–14 halftime lead. COAS Shooters also extended their impressive run with a commanding 37–27 win over Benue Buffaloes, controlling the game from the opening whistle and leading 17–11 at the break.

Defending champions Tojemarine Academy bounced back from their previous day’s defeat to overpower De Defenders 37–25. The title holders stormed to a 19–10 halftime lead and never lost control. Rima Strikers had to work hard for their 25–24 win against a determined Correction Boys side.

In the women’s category, Safety Babes staged a spirited second-half comeback to edge Rima Queens 22–21, overturning a 14–11 halftime deficit to keep their title defense alive.

Debutants Soof Omo Ogiefo dazzled with a ruthless 41–23 demolition of Imo Grasshoppers, while Defender Babes cruised past Ekiti Queens 43–21, thanks to a blistering 24–11 first-half display.
