Today is the first day of Muharram (1442AH) in which the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) migrated from Makkah to Madinah in 662CE, which is the success of Islam as the everlasting password of the universe.
The Hijrah calendar made the Muslims masters of their relations and matters relating to war and peace and also helped them to know their economic aspect.
It gave them political freedom to have a say in any matter and raised them into a highly successful society; it made it possible for them to trade freely, boosting agriculture and industry.
The Hijrah calendar helped the Muslims in bringing about an integrated, balanced and progressive economy for the ummah.
May Allah (SWT) who knows the Nigerians that are struggling daily for survival create and preserve for them a conducive environment for economic growth. May He avert all these calamities that have befallen our country. Happy New Islamic year 1442 A H.
