A renowned Ekiti-born cleric, Prophet Sam Olu Alo, has charged southwest governors, senators, members of the House of Representatives, House of Assemblies, traditional rulers, and religious leaders, to tell President Bola Ahmed Tinubu the bitter truth concerning current hardship been face by Nigerians.

He said all stakeholders in Southwest should speak up to avert the crisis, particularly during this era of economic challenges.

Speaking on Adamimogo FM, Alo said all stakeholders in Yorubaland including all Christian and Muslim bodies with direct contact with the President should meet him and let him know what Nigerians are going through.

He said, “Ooni of Ife should hold a meeting with all Oba in South/West and choose a delegation to meet Tinubu in Aso Rock.

“Pastor Adeboye of RCCG and CAN Christian Association of Nigerian other resected men of God should also lead men of God to President Tinubu in Abuja to know who hardship is bitting Nigerians.”

According to him, President Tinubu is not a wicked person but he has a listening hear to listen to advice and take necessary steps to profer a solution to the problem.

He stated that President Tinubu needed prayer because it seems some of the past Nigerian leaders who had good intentions don’t achieve it once they got to Aso Rock.

The cleric said Tinubu had once said Nigerians should keep their mind at rest, that relief is coming soon but it seems the promise is yet to be fulfilled.

Alo called for change in leadership of NNPC, saying for Tinubu to succeed and Nigerians to be happy with him, there is a need to rejig NNPC or scrap it because it’s one of the causes of Nigeria’s problem.

He said: “There has not been any words of encouragement from NNPC since the announcement of the increment in the price of petrol.

“Nigeria is the most prayerful Nation in Africa, yet, hardship persists, lets prioritize love than prayer, by doing this, all shall be well for our nation, there is no amount of prayer we can pray for the nation to change for good except necessary steps are taken.

“This message is not to crises Tinubu, traditional rulers or all or religious leaders, it’s just advice, it does not rely on you to either take it or leave it.

“Despite the economic hardship, Nigerians still like President Tinubu, many graduate are now regretting for going to school because those who didn’t go are doing better than them.

“Despite the economic hardship, farm produce are rotten in some areas due to lack of access to good roads to transport the products.”

He urged Nigerians to be patient and give Tinubu time to do the needful, saying protest or agitation is not the best solution to the current challenges.
