Hassan Gwarzo secondary records 75% success in NECO

The management of Hassan Ibrahim Gwarzo Secondary Schools (HIGSS), said the school has recorded another milestone in this year’s National Examinations Council (NECO), West Africa Examinations Council (WAEC) and Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (SSCE).
This was contained in a statement issued to newsmen in Kano and signed by Zailani Ibrahim Ayagi.
According to the statement, out of the 70 students presented for NECO, 53 got 9 credits and distinctions, which represent 75% of the total number of students who sat for the examinations, while10 got 8 credits, 6 got 7 credits and only one student got 6 credits respectively.
The statement further revealed that, in the Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (SSCE) for this year, 86% of the students who sat for the examinations got 5 credits and above, which was the minimum requirement for entry into Nigerian universities.
It added that, all the seventy students successfully graduated from the Sauka Examinations conducted by the Quran and Tajweed Section of the School, thereby enabling them to recite the whole Qur’an with all of them able to memorise at least 5 hizbs of the Qur’an.
