Sarari assured the distributors of his board’s commitment to fighting piracy, saying that they would soon launch a media campaign to enlighten the public on how to differentiate between pirated copies and originals.
In his remark while presenting the label to distributors, the special assistant to the Director General of the board, Mr. C. Obiora stressed the importance of putting labels on film jackets because it would help in the fight against piracy.
“When a distributor puts the label on his film, the film would not be pirated, as people would not patronize them without the label on their pirated films,” he said.
Mr. Obiora also said the label contains the name of the film, distributor’s name as well as the classification symbol.
