Specificity can prevent disputes, so one must endeavour to lay out one’s wishes as explicitly as possible.
In addition to bequeathing assets to beneficiaries, the diseased may also outline how they like certain assets to be used in future. A will makes quantifying and distributing assets easier. A will reduces or eliminates the need for all the footwork and paperwork that would have been required, because it formally outlines the deceased’s assets (and in some cases liabilities).
