The Bauchi State Agency for the Control of AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (BACATMA) has trained 34 health service providers on the treatment of pregnant, nursing mothers and under five children on uncomplicated malaria cases.
Programme Officer, Community Directed Intervention (CDI) of the Agency, Hajara Moses John disclosed this at the end of a three day workshop organized for health workers of Primary Health Centres (PHCs) and General Hospitals in the state.
The project is sponsored by Global Fund New Funding Model (GF-NFM) in collaboration with the National Malaria Elimination Programme (MEP) under Federal Ministry of Health and Achieving Health Nigeria Initiative (AHNI).
