The Cup holders will play hosts to Nembe City in Sunday’s 2012/13 NPFL Matchday 1 tie at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri.
Okuoka, who will be making his debut for the CAF Confederation Cup campaigners against the Nembe-based club, said his side will spell the visitors’ name in the encounter.
“Of course, we’ll teach Nembe City some football basics at our slaughter ground in Owerri. We’re not underrating them, we know they have some quality players in their fold but that won’t stop us from spelling their name.
“The encounter will be my first league match for Heartland. It’s a game I need to focus on, not to allow it weigh me down but maintain full concentration.
“I’ve played bigger teams than Nembe City, be rest assured I’ll add my name on the scorer’s sheet but the number of goals I can’t say right now,” he said.
Okuoka said his mission to the Naze Millionaires’ camp is to help the side achieve their dream of becoming African and Nigerian champions.
“The quest for laurels is my ambition at Heartland. My target is to help the side win at least three vital trophies this season.
“I’m looking at the league, Federation Cup and Confederation Cup, among others. It’s my dream to help the team win these titles,” he said.
