Heavy rain and thunderstorm dispersed agitators of Yoruba nation in Osogbo, capital of Osun State on Saturday afternoon.

A self-acclaimed Yoruba activist, Mr Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho, had stormed Osogbo with his “Yoruba nation” agitation.

He arrived from Oyo State at 1:40 pm, Daily Trust gathered.

Igboho and his supporters defiled the security presence and took the rally to majors streets in Osogbo to enlist the support of the people of the state.

He was addressing the agitators when the scorching sunny weather turned cloudy at 2:25 pm.

He hurriedly addressed his supporters standing on top of a vehicle but when other leaders wanted to address the agitators, heavy rain started and it dispersed supporters from the venue.

While addressing his supporters, Igboho said the security agents could not prevent him from exercising his right to express his mind as a citizen of the country.

Igboho insisted that nothing would stop the actualisation of the Yoruba nation and called on the people of Osun State to key into the agenda.

Igboho appealed to all stakeholders and traditional rulers in Yorubaland to openly declare support for the agitation for the Yoruba nation.
