Men of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Ogun State have arrested an Indian hemp deadler, Abiodun Taofeek, for allegedly assaulting and vandalising a vehicle belonging to an officer of the corps.

The state’s Commandant, David Ojelabi, who paraded the suspect, said he was apprehended by operatives in Ijebu North-East LGA, for assaulting the divisional officer and his personnel.

He explained that in an attempt to resist arrest the suspect shattered the windscreen of a Toyota Camry registered under the licence plate: KRY-994 DR, which belonged to one of the division’s officers.

Ojelabi further said, “The suspect confessed to the following: being a dealer on cannabis sativa, otherwise known as marijuana; that he tore the uniforms of the divisional officer and some of his personnel; that he unintentionally broke the windscreen of the Toyota Camry; that he was supported by other hoodlums to carry out the acts against the corps’ divisional office.”
