A 25-year-old herder, Sani Haruna, recently survived being lynched after he was attacked along with his two siblings at Sarkin-Baka, a community located along the Bwari-Jere highway, in Kagarko LGA of Kaduna State.

Abuja Metro learnt that the incident happened when three brothers were reportedly heading back to their helmet, located at the Konu community in the council.

Dahiru was said to have been rushed to the Bwari General Hospital by a team of soldiers who reportedly found him in a pool of his blood, with his two brothers yet to be accounted for.

Speaking to our reporter from his hospital bed, the victim said he woke up to find himself in the hospital not knowing how he was rescued.

According to him, they went to the area to cut sticks for roofing their huts, which they had already handed over to their father, who used his motorcycle to transport the sticks back home.

He added “We started trekking back home thereafter, only to be intercepted by four youths around the Sarkin Baka community over an allegation of being kidnappers.

“We gave them a phone contact to speak to our relatives at home, but they rejected the demand.

‘’The number of the youth kept rising, and in the process, they used sticks in their possession to hit us. I don’t know whether my two siblings survived the attack as well.’’

Sources in the hospital said the victim was brought in by a military patrol team in company of a police official from the Bwari division, adding that all efforts to get the security men to sign a record folder in the hospital was not successful.
