The Fulani Community of Mahanga and its environs, in Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State, have debunked the allegations that they have been organising series of meetings with members of Boko Haram to attack some churches, schools and important personalities in the state.
The denial followed a write-up being circulated in the social media and printed copies that the Ardo of Riyom, Mahmood Adam and other Fulani leaders were collaborating with the new stations of Boko Haram to commit dastardly attacks in the state.

The circulated write-up was credited to one Emmanuel Delson.
In a press briefing held in Jos, the Secretary of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria ( MACBAN), in Riyom, Abdullahi Yusuf Ibrahim, said the allegations were baseless and aimed at inciting hatred against Fulani and generating crisis in the state.
He said, “We are not holding any meeting with Boko Haram to attack churches, schools or any personality. The perpetrators of the circulated write-up don’t mean well for the state. You can’t accuse someone whose cows are everywhere to cause trouble. The accusation is injurious and uncalled for.
“The state has been enjoying peaceful coexistence for sometimes but there are people who are not happy with the situation. They want the state to go into crisis, “ he said.
In a petition acknowledged by the office of the Plateau State Commissioner of Police, Edward Egbuka and made available to Benue/Plateau Trust, the Fulani, called on the police to investigate those responsible for the write-up including the said Emmanuel Delson and bring them to book.
