High expectations as works start on Petra Park

Though works have been ongoing, Petra Park Gurku will officially open for development on Saturday.
The developer, Merrybells Corporate Services Limited, is greatly excited by the public’s show of interest in this project. The developer boasts that it has the capacity to deliver housing units in a couple of months.
The estate, which covers a land mass of 150 hectares, is planned to accommodate 1,000 units of three-bedroom bungalows on the rocky stretch of Gurku, a hilly area on the fringe of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Though very close to the superb Maitama district of Abuja, Gurku which lies behind Mpape hills is in Nasarawa State.
Speaking ahead of the planned ground breaking ceremony last Thursday in Abuja the Managing Director of Merrybells Mr Emmanuel Oyelowo said, “We have the record of quick delivery.
“In less than four months, physical allocations are given on site. We give allocations with beacon numbers. Already, the perimeter survey is registered, the topography is registered and layout plan done professionally by registered town planning firm. The estate is fortified with secured title documents – free from legal, communal and environmental encumbrances.
Concerning cost, he said, “We started out by selling very cheap because we’re out there to benefit everybody -everybody who earns anything can afford to be a subscriber on our scheme. We started with a promo prize of N150,000 in April. A month after, the investment increased to N220,000. Mid July, we started selling at N320,000.”
