The Kano State Hisbah Board has arrested six cross-dressers who were suspected of engaging in homosexuality in the Gaida area in Kumbotso LGA.

The Deputy Commander General of Hisbah, Dr Mujaheed Abubakar, who disclosed this recently to newsmen, said that the suspects were apprehended following complaints from residents.

Dr Mujaheed said that all the suspects confessed to their actions and appealed for leniency and pledged not to engage in such activities again.

He, however, said appropriate action would be taken after the completion of investigation.
