HoganHost: We’ve Acquired ZuumHost

In a move that signals further consolidation within Nigeria’s fast-growing digital infrastructure sector, HoganHost, has announced the acquisition of ZuumHost, a well-known Nigerian web hosting provider and accredited domain registrar.

The development is expected to strengthen HoganHost’s position in the country’s competitive web hosting and domain services market while expanding its technical infrastructure and customer reach.

As part of the new leadership structure following the acquisition, Joseph Effiok Hogan, Chief Executive Officer of HoganHost, will serve as Chairman and CEO of ZuumHost, overseeing the company’s strategic direction and integration into the broader HoganHost ecosystem. Atim Hogan, Co-Founder of HoganHost, will take on the role of Vice Chairman of ZuumHost, supporting governance and growth initiatives.

ZuumHost was founded by Oghenekparobor Emmanuel, who built the company into a respected platform within Nigeria’s web hosting industry. Over the years, ZuumHost has become widely recognized for its domain registration and hosting services, supporting businesses, startups, and digital creators looking to establish a reliable online presence.

The company is also known as an accredited registrar under the Nigeria Internet Registration Association, the body responsible for managing Nigeria’s .ng domain namespace. Through this accreditation, ZuumHost has played a role in helping expand access to local domain registration for individuals and organizations across the country.

Industry observers say the acquisition reflects the increasing demand for reliable digital infrastructure in Nigeria as more businesses, entrepreneurs, and creators move their operations online. With the integration of ZuumHost into its operations, HoganHost is expected to further enhance its service offerings across web hosting, domain registration, and digital platform support.

Commenting on the development, Joseph Effiok Hogan noted that the acquisition represents an important step toward strengthening Nigeria’s technology ecosystem by combining expertise and expanding infrastructure capacity.

He said the integration will create new opportunities to deliver improved services while maintaining continuity for existing ZuumHost customers.

The transition is expected to allow ZuumHost users to continue accessing their services seamlessly, while benefiting from HoganHost’s expanded infrastructure, support systems, and product development capabilities.

For Nigeria’s hosting industry, the acquisition marks another notable step in the evolution of locally driven technology companies positioning themselves to support the country’s rapidly expanding digital economy.
