An automobile firm, Honda Manufacturing Nigeria Limited, has unveiled a new line of motorcycle, Ace150 designed to ease commuting for people in rural rugged environments predominantly plied by farmers and dispatch-riders.
The Sales and Customer Service Division Manager, Mr Olabade Badejo, stated this during the launch, saying the new product underscored the firm’s commitment to ease commuting from one place to another.
“These bikes are for rural-rugged commuters, farmers, dispatch riders, those who cannot use normal vehicle or truck transportation to bring their farm produce out of their farms and some of these farmers are living in areas where there are no motorable roads.
“We have our Ace 125 defying in that market segment already, by bringing a bike that has more power, our expectation is that it would do a better job than what the Ace 125 is currently doing, especially solving the need for mobility of farmers and the people in the rural areas. That’s why we are launching this product and also for those who are seeking to, you know we are in the age where e-commerce is also much more privileged with a lot of dispatch and delivery going on,” he said.

He stressed that the firm would consider manufacturing motorcycles powered by CNG when the federal government creates the enabling environment for manufacturers of motorcycles.
“I don’t think there is any motorcycle on CNG currently. So I would say Honda will only consider this if there is also government support for our industry. The motorcycle industry at the moment, there is none, the government support has gone largely towards the Mass Transit automobile industry,” he added.
The firm’s Managing Director, Tetsuya Kawal, described the newly launched product as testament to the growing importance of innovation, saying it marks the beginning of a new chapter in the firm’s drive to continuously provide quality products that meet the ever-evolving needs of their customers.
“At Honda, we have always been committed to designing and delivering solutions that make life easier, more efficient, and, most importantly, safer for our customers.
“The ACE150 has been engineered with a deep understanding of our market. We know the demand for durability, reliability, and performance, especially in commercial applications, and this model embodies all of those traits.
“From its powerful yet fuel-efficient engine to its rugged design, this motorcycle is built to withstand the demands of everyday use, making it an ideal choice for riders across Nigeria. Whether you are using it for daily commuting, as part of your business, or for long-distance travel, the ACE150 is designed to deliver exceptional value and dependable performance every time,” he said
