Hoodlums have reportedly attacked a man identified as Rabiu Ibrahim and stolen his motorcycle at Dikko Junction in Suleja, Niger State.

Speaking to our reporter from his hospital bed, Ibrahim said the incident happened on Thursday around 8pm.

He explained that he was riding his motorcycle from Suleja towards Sabon-Wuse when three hoodlums suddenly emerged from the bush near Dikko Junction.

He said they attacked him with cutlasses and inflicted serious injuries on him before they left him unconscious and escaped with his bike, phone and money.

According to Ibrahim, some passersby stopped and took him to Sabon-Wuse General Hospital, where he was admitted.

“I was just leaving Suleja on my way to Sabon-Wuse, just before Dikko Junction, when three young men suddenly jumped out of the bush, pounced on me with a cutlass, and made away with my bike,” he said.

When contacted, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of the Sabon-Wuse division, CSP Kasheem Ayeku, told our reporter on phone that he was not aware of the incident.

He stated that no one had reported such an attack to the division but promised to look into the matter and get back to the reporter.
