Shija’s Campaign Director-General, Dr. James Mbachiantim, a former gubernatorial aspirant in the 2019 election in Benue State conducted journalists around the site torched by the hoodlums.
“We are in the political clime and we are politicking. Obviously, anything that happens is for political reasons. We believe strongly that this is the activity of other parties in another political divide. In APC, we believe strongly in peaceful political activities,” he said.
The Benue State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Catherine Anene, was yet to respond to calls put through her telephone to confirm the incident.
