A 23 year-old house help, Joseph Ewache, has been docked before an Igbosere chief Magistrate court, for allegedly stealing N306,000 belonging to his boss.
According to the Police Prosecutor, Sergeant Njoku Chained, the suspect and other still at large, conspired together to commit the offence on May 26, 2019, at about 2200 hours at Road 2, House G70A, VGC, Estate, Ajah, Lagos, contrary to Section 411 of the criminal laws of Lagos State 2015.
Police alleged that the suspect at the same date, time and place, fraudulently stole N306,000 property of one Olushola Nzewi Folorunsho “ f “.
The alleged offence is punishable under Section 287 of the criminal laws of Lagos State 2015 which provides for at least three year jail term if found liable.
The suspect pleaded not guilty to the two-count criminal charge preferred against him by the police.
Chief Magistrate Botoku, while adjourning the matter till June, 19, 2019, granted the suspect bail in the sum of N150,000 with two sureties.
