A 40-year-old housewife, who allegedly beat her co-wife and inflicted injuries on her, yesterday appeared before an Ikeja Chief Magistrate’s Court.
Maryam Ogedengbe allegedly assaulted one Kuburat Ogedengbe by beating her and hitting her head and neck with an object, following a disagreement.
The prosecutor, ASP Clifford Ogu, told the court that “The accused and the complainant were having an argument and that the accused used an object and hit her on the head,” he said.
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the offence.
The chief magistrate, Mr J. A. Adegun, granted her bail in the sum of N50,000 with one surety in like sum. He adjourned the case to Dec. 11. (NAN)
