The blood stained pants belonging to a 7-year-old girl (names withheld) was discovered at the room of a teenager, Kabir Shuaibu, 18, of Buturkai village in Dutsin-Ma LGA  of Katsina State leading to his subsequent arrest.

Daily Trust gathered that when the girl returned home that fatefull day, her mother Zainab Abdullahi, 35, observed changes in the way she walked in addition to her missing undies.

Thereafter she confronted the daughter who opened up and narrated what had happened. She later on reported the matter to the police.

Speaking on the matter, the commands Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Gambo Isah, said the suspect was realised to have lured the girl to his room and forcefully had sex with her. 

A police investigation team was dispatched to the suspects room were the undies were recovered.

He said, the suspect has confessed to the crime and will soon be charged to court.
