There are de-feathering machines that can remove the feathers of a chicken in less than 60 seconds. This is used by people who process chicken for commercial distribution. This is very useful because with the time and labour required by doing it the old way such as manually plucking the chicken; this machine can do the job of 3 people at half the time. A de-feathering machine has side door opening, soft rubber fingers and one HP motor. It has the capacity to remove the feather of five birds per 30 seconds and discharge the feather through a panel, reinforced with stainless round bar and stainless gauge #20 barrel (25”x16”).
