How daughter of slain Kwara doctor escaped from kidnappers

More facts emerged on Monday on how the daughter of a medical doctor killed by gunmen over the weekend escaped from her abductors.

The deceased, David Adefikayo, was the Medical Director of Dafikayo Clinic, Kanbi, Moro Local Government Area of the state.

He was murdered by the gunmen in front of his wife and children.

The assailants also abducted the deceased’s daughter during the tragic incident but she was able to escape.

The police spokeswoman, Ejire-Adeyemi Adetoun, on Monday, confirmed her escape during a rescue operation adding that a suspect had been arrested.

She added that a member of the vigilante hit by a bullet lost his life in the incident.

However, a police officer who does not want to be named, told City and Crime on Monday that the woman escaped while the kidnappers were stripping the arrested suspects of the charms in his body.

 “During the exchange of gunfire, a bullet hit one of the kidnappers. His colleagues thought he would not be able to make it. 

“It was while they were stripping him of some of the charms on him that Christiana bravely escaped and ran back to the village in Kanbi”, the police officer, a DSP noted.
