How entrepreneur, Adeleke won N2m in TV show

An entrepreneur, Prince Adeleke Ogunkomaya has joined the league of millionaires in Nigeria, from having just N2,000 to getting N2 million as winner of the Wheel of Luck Game Show.

Aired live on LTV Lagos, the knowledge base television programme with about 3,000 participants of 18 years above, takes participants through quiz sessions where they were tested on general knowledge about Nigeria’s history and current affairs.

Speaking with newsmen, Ogunkomaya said he had lost hope in the show hosted by Mike Mesikenor months earlier, when he tried to reach out to the customer service but to no avail.

According to him, he had a change of mind to attend the game show after his dream the night before the show, where he was embraced and congratulated by Temi Otedola, daughter of business mogul, Femi Otedola.

“On the day of the game show, I had nothing but garri and only N2,000 left in my purse. My sister asked for money for food but I begged her to find something to eat because I only had N2,000 left on me. She even encouraged me to ‘drink Garri’ in order not to leave the house on an empty stomach. The rest is history,” the latest millionaire said.

CEO and Media Executive of Bi-Communications, organiser of the show, Dr. Aisha Eyiwumi Tosan, said that the game show was one which the company had thought through for years.

She said, “It was an expensive venture. However, we feel that it is something we can do to encourage Nigerians.”
