How I lost 17 brand deals as a result of online controversies – Phyna
Big Brother Naija Season 7 winner, Ijeoma Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, has revealed how she lost 17 brands deals, with one brand turning her down because she was perceived to be an abuser.
The reality show start disclosed this to her fellow ex-housemate, Doyin, on ‘Doyin’s Corner.’
Blogs had accused Phyna of slapping a fellow housemate, Groovy, after the show because he brokered a contract behind her back which was supposed to involve both of them.
Phyna stated that the online harassment she received had a negative impact on her, narrating how she lost 17 brand deals.
She saidN “Two weeks ago, my manager and I calculated how many businesses I lost from last year till present. We counted 17 deals.
“I am aware of a big brand that told me their reason for not working with me is because I am an abuser. They said they can’t work with an abuser, and this was coming that period that bloggers said I slapped someone.”
