How I’ll fixTaraba as governor – APC candidate

Senator Emmanuel Bwacha

The governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Taraba State, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha, has said he would fix the state if given the mandate in the next year’s poll.

He spoke yesterday in Jalingo, the state capital, while inaugurating his governorship campaign council.

Bwacha who represents Taraba South in the National Assembly said the APC administration would unite the people, end poverty in the state and restore the hope of the people by embarking on development projects and empowerment to free the citizens from object poverty.

He said the current situation the Taraba people have found themselves in is pitiable and needs to be reversed to the path of prosperity.

The lawmaker said, “Our state was a vibrant and prosperous one, but has degenerated to a pitiable level of desolation, deprivation and hopelessness which need to be rescued.

“In the past few years, Tarabans have watched helplessly, the destruction of all the fabrics of governance, while driving a big knife into the heart of our unity and oneness as a people.

“Our people have now embraced a new culture of subservience and a pretentious campaign of calumny against each other, based on tribalism, religious bigotry and regional blocks.”
