The president’s order as the commander-in-chief of the armed forces was flouted. The offender’s least punishment is to be sacked. Also, because it involved the death of many people he cannot escape. As a leader, he should have done what was necessary for the people he swore to protect. It appears like a setup to reduce the population of people who are likely to vote against him. He said it himself and I quote “the killings in Taraba are more than Benue and Adamawa put together.”

If the IGP cannot be loyal and obedient to the command of Mr. President, why should he remain there as IGP? Issues of disobedience should not even arise. He should either obey or resign. Mr. President has not been strict on some issues, that is why everyone is misbehaving.

I heard that the IGP travelled to Benue, but later went to Nasarawa for another assignment. If really he went to Nasarawa for another assignment, then there is no problem, but if it was deliberate, then the president should charge him since he is ahead of him.
